Azure Front Door now supports edge actions in preview, allowing lightweight JavaScript functions to run in hardware-backed microVMs at the edge for use cases like A/B testing, canary rollouts, header manipulation, and dynamic origin selection. Azure Databricks SQL Serverless expands to the UK West region, offering pay-per-query SQL warehousing without cluster provisioning. Azure Arc-enabled SQL sources can now be migrated to SQL running in Azure VMs (in addition to SQL Managed Instances) with minimal downtime via log shipping. The MSSQL VS Code extension gains shortcut configuration, SQL snippet mapping, and an improved result grid. Azure Monitor introduces advanced platform metrics in preview, starting with container-level visibility for Azure Blob Storage.
