Previously, developers needed separate direct, pooled, and shadow database URLs. Now a single pooled connection string suffices. This was achieved by adding prepared statement support and DISCARD ALL/DEALLOCATE ALL handling to PgBouncer 1.22.0, enabling schema migrations over pooled connections.
