# BG2B is the lowest-power Bluetooth LE SoC from Silicon Labs so far

## Summary

Silicon Labs has announced the BG2B, an ultra-low-power Bluetooth 6 LE SoC built on an Arm Cortex-M33 core running at 80 MHz. It claims the lowest power consumption in Silicon Labs' BLE portfolio, with 1.1 µA EM2 deep sleep current and 14–15% lower MCU active current than the BG22/BG22L. Key features include Bluetooth 6 Channel Sounding (Mode 3, NADM, Inline PCT), Secure Vault High security (PSA Level 3 target), integrated CAN-FD, LED drivers, dual 12-bit ADCs, and a precision low-frequency RC oscillator to eliminate the sleep crystal. Ten SKUs will be offered in QFN40 and QFN48 packages. The chip targets asset tracking, electronic shelf labels, smart home, industrial monitoring, and vehicle diagnostics. A limited early customer engagement program is underway, with official launch planned for 2027.
