# Block users

## Summary

To enhance productivity, daily.dev allows users to block or report unwanted content and users. You can block users from a post, comment, or their profile. This feature empowers users to manage their content preferences effectively.

## Content

The best thing you can do for your productivity is to say “no”. No to a project, to a meeting, to a friend who needs a ride to the hospital. “No” is your greatest asset in staying focused and productive.

That’s why for every piece of content you can choose to see on daily.dev, you can choose *not* to see that content. We give you the choice to follow tags, sources, types of content and also to block each of these. 

So it only makes sense that if you can follow users, you can choose to **block** users.

## Here’s how to block/unblock:

There are three places in which you can block a user:

From a post they’ve shared: Just hit the three dots on the top right corner and block/report.

From a comment they’ve made:

Or just go to their profile and block/report them. On their profile you can also choose to unblock a user who you’ve blocked in the past.

As you can see, when blocking, you can also choose to report a user, in which case we’ll ask you why that is:

> I think the recommendation algorithm works perfectly for me: I've only had to report content a few times (mostly broken links or completely misleading information) and there hasn't been a single time where I've wanted to block a user! But the logic behind introducing this feature makes a lot of sense, so great work! 🚀
