This follows WordPress's own AT Protocol plugin announcement, which lets any WordPress site publish into the same open network. The move contrasts with X's Articles feature, which is paywalled, and highlights Bluesky's vision of an open social web where content data is freely distributable across any compatible client. Bluesky currently has 44.5 million registered users versus X's 550 million monthly actives.
