Google has developed Brazos, a rack-mounted closed-loop liquid-to-air cooling system designed to bring liquid cooling to existing air-cooled data centers without requiring full facility retrofits. Each modular unit supports up to 60 kW thermal load per rack, uses deionized water or propylene glycol, operates on 40–60 V DC, and features hot-swappable components for easy maintenance. Compatible with OCP ORv3 racks, Brazos is now generally available and Google plans to open-source its technical specifications through the Open Compute Project forum.
