The expansion will scale production to tens of gigawatt-hours per year, enough to power over 100,000 EVs. Sila's material offers up to 40% more energy density than traditional graphite anodes and serves as a domestic alternative to Chinese-controlled graphite supply chains. The company has existing supply deals with Mercedes and Panasonic, and also serves consumer electronics, drone, and satellite markets.
