Domino Data Lab has launched an Extensions framework that lets enterprise data science teams embed custom capabilities directly into the Domino platform UI. Unlike building tools outside the platform, Extensions inherit Domino's governance, auditability, and reproducibility guarantees — critical for regulated industries operating under GxP, SOC 2, or model risk management frameworks. Three official Extensions are launching in Summer 2026: AutoML Studio for no-code model experimentation, Clinical Data Explorer for life sciences data validation, and Model Docs for LLM-generated model documentation. The framework is also open for teams to build their own Extensions, closing the gap between platform breadth and team-specific needs without sacrificing compliance.
