The ExecuTorch Hackathon took place June 27–28, 2026 in San Francisco, bringing together 100+ developers across 20+ teams to build on-device AI applications running on Snapdragon-powered Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra devices using PyTorch and ExecuTorch. Three winning projects stood out: SafeScreen AI (1st), a real-time on-device visual content safety layer; SixthSense (2nd), a haptic navigation wearable for blind users using local object detection and depth estimation; and Toddle AI (3rd), a privacy-first gait analysis app for toddlers using local pose estimation. The event highlighted that the most compelling edge AI applications are those where local execution is essential — for privacy, low latency, offline capability, or real-time responsiveness — rather than simply porting cloud AI to mobile.
