The new platform, built on Open Journal Systems (OJS), will expand authorship eligibility to researchers from a consortium of European countries including Austria, France, Germany, Italy, and others. Publishing remains free for all eligible authors. ORE uses a publish–review–curate model where articles are openly peer-reviewed and curated into subject collections. Since its 2021 launch, ORE has published over 1,200 articles from more than 6,300 authors across 3,000 institutions.
