Apple is introducing changes to iOS in Brazil starting with iOS 26.5, following an agreement with Brazil's competition regulator CADE. Developers will be able to distribute apps through alternative app marketplaces, operate their own marketplaces, and process payments for digital goods outside of Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple has implemented protections including app notarization, marketplace authorization, and child safety requirements. All Apple Developer Program members must agree to an updated license agreement by July 6, 2026.
