Chrome 150 beta introduces a wide range of CSS and Web API improvements. CSS highlights include AccentColor system colors, polygon() corner rounding, animatable zoom, URL request modifiers, text-fit for responsive typography, background-clip: border-area for gradient borders, light-dark() with image values, comma-separated container queries, flex-wrap:balance, and media element pseudo-classes. Web API additions include an IndexedDB rewrite on SQLite, PWA origin migration support, out-of-order HTML streaming with template and processing instructions, programmatic scroll promises, WebGPU Immediates for efficient per-draw shader data, and on-device speech recognition quality hints. Security improvements include opaque origins for data: URL workers and disabling SVG filters on cross-origin iframes. A new Email Verification Protocol origin trial is also available.
