Cisco's deployment at Black Hat Asia 2026 showcased several security innovations including DNS security via Cisco Secure Access, which processed over 16 million DNS queries and blocked 234,000+ encrypted DNS requests. A notable addition was MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration, enabling a custom MCP server to connect to the Secure Access Reports API for real-time conversational analysis of security events in the SOC. The Cisco Secure Access MCP Gateway enforced fine-grained access policies, while a Resource Connector provided secure remote access with Duo IAM authentication. App discovery revealed 4,050 applications on the network, with Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT as the top AI tools accessed by attendees.
