Anthropic is expanding Claude's presence across Microsoft 365 by adding Outlook support in public beta and bringing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint integrations to general availability. Claude can now maintain a single persistent conversation thread across all four apps, allowing context — emails, spreadsheets, documents, and presentations — to carry over without re-explaining tasks. Users can chain workflows across apps, such as triaging email in Outlook, extracting data in Excel, drafting in Word, and updating PowerPoint slides, all within one session. Conversations persist per file for later resumption. Enterprise deployments are available via Microsoft AppSource, with support for Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and Microsoft Foundry hosting, plus OpenTelemetry monitoring.
