# Claude Cowork rolls out to mobile, web, and the Chrome extension

**[Collections](https://daily.dev/sources/collections)** · 2 min read · 1 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

Claude Cowork, Anthropic's session-syncing workspace feature, is expanding beyond desktop to mobile, web, and a rebuilt Claude in Chrome extension that acts as a full Cowork client. Sessions, skills, and connectors now sync across all platforms, letting users start a task in Chrome and resume it on mobile. Rollout starts with Max and Team plans, with Pro access coming later, and enterprise admins can enable it per domain. Because a browser agent interacting with live web pages carries prompt injection risk, Anthropic added an auto mode that watches for anomalies and pauses for approval before sensitive actions like purchases or sharing personal data — though this protection is Chrome-only, not other Chromium browsers or mobile. Mobile rollout has been uneven, with some users needing the latest iOS update before Cowork worked properly.

## Content

Anthropic has been pushing Claude Cowork out across more surfaces this week, and the rollout has been a mixed bag depending on who you ask.

The headline update: Cowork is now available on Claude's mobile app and web for all paid plans, not just desktop. On paper this sounds straightforward, but the actual rollout was bumpy. Several testers reported that mobile Cowork didn't work at all until a follow-up iOS update landed with the tagline "Keep Cowork going when you are on the go." Only after that update did sessions actually start functioning for some users.

Even with the fix, mobile Cowork still feels incomplete. Ben Tossell pointed out that Claude doesn't support creating local sessions from mobile, which he half-joked is basically Anthropic handing users over to Codex by default.

On the browser side, Anthropic rebuilt the Claude in Chrome extension into a full Cowork client. It now syncs sessions, skills, and connectors across desktop, web, mobile, and the browser itself, so you can theoretically start a task on your laptop and pick it up on your phone. Max and Team subscribers get it first, Pro is coming later, and enterprise admins can turn it on or off per domain rather than company-wide.

Because a browser agent poking around your tabs is a real prompt injection risk, Anthropic added an

## Questions this post answers

### Is Claude Cowork available on mobile and web now, or only desktop?

Claude Cowork is now available on mobile and web for all paid plans, expanding beyond its original desktop-only availability. Sessions, skills, and connectors sync across desktop, web, mobile, and the rebuilt Claude in Chrome extension, so a task started in one place can continue in another without losing context.

### How does Claude Cowork protect against prompt injection when browsing live web pages in Chrome?

Anthropic added an auto mode that checks for anomalies as the browser agent interacts with live web pages, since a browser agent navigating the web is a real prompt injection risk. It still pauses and asks for approval before sensitive actions like making a purchase or sharing personal data. This protection currently only works in Chrome itself, not other Chromium-based browsers or on mobile.

### Which Claude subscription plans get access to the new Cowork Chrome extension first?

Max and Team plan subscribers get access first to the rebuilt Claude in Chrome extension that works as a full Cowork client, with Pro plan access coming later. Enterprise admins can enable it selectively per domain instead of turning it on for their entire organization at once.
