Claude Opus 4.7 was just released last month, and 4.8 is already here with some massive improvements

Anthropic has released Claude Opus 4.8 just over a month after Opus 4.7. The new model shows benchmark improvements of approximately 5 points in agentic coding and over 8 points in agentic terminal coding. A notable qualitative improvement is increased honesty — the model is more likely to flag uncertainty and less likely to make unsupported claims or hallucinate progress on tasks.
