Collaboration of elementary particles: How teamwork among photon pairs overcomes quantum errors

Researchers at the University of Rostock demonstrated that encoding quantum information in photon pairs instead of single photons significantly improves error resistance in quantum systems. By spreading data across two photons traveling through laser-written waveguides in glass chips, the system can detect corrupted information when only one photon arrives incorrectly. This approach showed remarkable stability, maintaining accuracy even with 10% property variations. The research extends holonomy mathematics to particle pairs and provides a foundation for more reliable quantum computers.
