Neo4j has launched the GraphAcademy Cup, a six-week learning competition timed alongside the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Participants join a country team, complete free graph database courses on GraphAcademy to earn points, and compete on a global leaderboard. Prizes include Neo4j Aura credits drawn each round, Lego sets for community contributions, and a Lego World Cup trophy for the top scorer on the winning team. Alongside the competition, Neo4j is publishing a content series using real football match data from Impect to demonstrate graph database concepts like passing networks, player connections, and match sequence analysis in Neo4j.
