# Copilot code review: New configurations and controls

## Summary

GitHub Copilot code review has received three new configuration and control features. Organization admins can now set a default runner type that applies across all repositories and optionally lock it to override individual repo settings. Copilot code review also now respects content exclusion settings at the repository, organization, and enterprise levels, letting teams prevent Copilot from accessing specific files or directories. Additionally, the 4,000-character limit on custom instructions files (copilot-instructions.md and *.instructions.md) has been removed, enabling more detailed and flexible review customization.
