# Copilot Memory has more controls for deletion, scope, and the Copilot CLI

## Summary

GitHub Copilot Memory has received several new controls in public preview. Key updates include improved deletion guidance (Copilot now directs you to the right place to remove memories), a repository-level off switch for admins, new /memory CLI commands (on, off, show) that persist across sessions, and clearer scope indicators at capture time distinguishing user-level preferences from repository-level facts.
