CoreCLR Progress and the Mono Timeline for .NET MAUI

CoreCLR is now the sole runtime for .NET MAUI mobile apps starting with .NET 11 Preview 6, replacing Mono entirely. iOS and Mac Catalyst apps are generally faster than Mono, while Android is within 10% of Mono on startup and app size. Debugging and Hot Reload work across Visual Studio and VS Code, with a few rough edges remaining. Full .NET diagnostics tools like dotnet-trace and dotnet-counters now work on mobile devices, and NativeAOT foundations for Android are landing. Developers are urged to test their apps against Preview 6 now and report performance benchmarks, package sizes, and any regressions before the GA release in November.
