Grafana Cloud's cost attribution feature now extends beyond metrics, logs, and traces to include Synthetic Monitoring and k6 performance testing. The label-based system lets organizations allocate observability and testing spend across teams, services, and projects. For Synthetic Monitoring, costs are tracked per check execution; for k6, attribution is based on Virtual User Hour (VUH) consumption. Admins configure up to two label keys, and any telemetry or test runs carrying those labels are automatically attributed. The feature supports chargeback and showback models, and upcoming support for Grafana Assistant token usage attribution is also planned.
