# Critical Ruflo flaw lets attackers hijack AI agents through exposed MCP bridge

## Summary

A critical unauthenticated vulnerability (CVE-2026-59726, CVSS 10.0) in the open-source AI agent platform Ruflo exposes its MCP Bridge by default, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code, steal LLM API keys, access user conversations, hijack AI agents, and poison persistent AI memory — all via a single HTTP request. The MCP Bridge, an Express.js server handling all 233 tool invocations, lacked authentication on its /mcp endpoint. Researchers from Noma Security demonstrated full compromise against a default AWS EC2 deployment, including AI memory poisoning via Ruflo's AgentDB. Ruflo patched the issue within hours by binding the bridge to loopback by default. Security experts warn the broader MCP ecosystem has prioritized ease of setup over authentication, and that AI memory poisoning represents a novel persistence threat not addressed by patching alone.
