Eric Meyer shares his CSS wish list for 2025, revisiting his 2023 wishes and noting which have been fulfilled (subgrid, nesting, color-mix(), :has()). His current wishes include: hanging punctuation support across all browsers, margin and line box trimming, a proper text-stroke property for HTML/SVG/MathML, expanded attr() support with type hints, CSS Exclusions for advanced layout, masonry layout (pending syntax debate between CSS Grid extension vs. standalone display type), grid track and gap styling rules, custom media queries, and unprefixing all remaining vendor-prefixed properties.
