# CTEM validation with Tenable One

## Summary

Tenable One now includes continuous control validation as part of its CTEM (Continuous Threat Exposure Management) platform. By mapping active security controls — such as EDR, MFA, and firewalls — directly onto potential attack paths, teams can automatically deprioritize vulnerabilities that existing defenses already neutralize. The platform also supports ingesting penetration testing results via the Tenable One Open Connector to layer real-world attack simulations over live exposure data, helping identify toxic risk combinations threatening critical assets. The goal is to shift security teams from managing theoretical risks to acting on validated, exploitable exposures.
