cy.prompt, Cypress's AI-powered test authoring feature, is becoming a core part of every Cypress Cloud plan starting August 1st. It allows teams to write tests in plain language, auto-generates Cypress code, and self-heals tests when the UI changes. Usage will now be measured in executions, with each plan including an allocation that renews with the billing cycle. Over 2,000 teams have already used it. Free plan users will have AI self-healing and new authoring paused once they hit their allocation, while paid plan users won't face automatic charges or pipeline interruptions for overages.

A test that rewrites itself when the UI changes is convenient, but the entire job of the test is to fail when behavior changes, so I’d want tight limits on what “heal” is allowed to touch.
