D-Wave Quantum Inc. has been awarded a $1.57 million grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation through its National Quantum Virtual Laboratory program. The funding supports D-Wave's role as an industry partner in the ERASE project, led by Yale University, which focuses on developing fault-tolerant quantum computing technologies using erasure qubits and dynamic circuits. Through its Quantum Circuits subsidiary, D-Wave will provide researchers access to its superconducting dual-rail gate-model quantum computing platform for work on software, compilers, and quantum error correction. The project also aims to strengthen the U.S. quantum computing workforce pipeline.
