Databricks has launched the Certified Context Engineer Associate, claiming to be the industry's first certification focused on context engineering for AI agent systems. The exam covers designing system prompts, configuring retrieval systems (Vector Search), building memory architectures with Lakebase and MLflow, integrating external tools via MCP, managing context window constraints, enforcing data governance with Unity Catalog, and evaluating multi-agent and long-horizon workflows. A free beta version will be available at the Data + AI Summit.
