Unlike his company Life Biosciences' gene therapy approach (limited to eye treatment), this drug aims for whole-body age reversal by mimicking embryonic reprogramming genes through the bloodstream. Sinclair says extensive animal studies have been conducted but results are unpublished. Other researchers have cautioned that chemical reprogramming at effective concentrations has proven toxic in animal experiments.
