Deepgram is opening an Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore following a strategic investment from EDBI, an arm of Singapore's EDB, as an extension of its $130 million Series C round. Former Salesforce leader Sriram Ved has been named VP and GM for APAC. The company reports a 96% year-over-year increase in API requests across APAC and serves customers in more than 20 markets. Investment priorities include expanding customer and partner support, deepening Asian-language speech-to-text capabilities (including Singapore's four official languages), and broadening low-latency inference deployment options across cloud, VPC, self-hosted, and on-premises environments.
