Will Prowse tests several commercial LFP batteries against the UL 2054 short-circuit certification standard. Two batteries pass by blowing their fuses as expected. A LiTime battery, despite claiming UL 2054 certification, lacks a proper fuse and would fail to prevent thermal runaway. A Battle Born battery actually catches fire during testing, as its purported thermal safety mechanism fails to interrupt current.
