Devolver Digital intends to go private

Indie game publisher Devolver Digital has announced its intention to delist from the UK's AIM stock market and return to private ownership. Shareholders will vote on the matter at the company's AGM on September 8, with delisting set for September 16 if approved. The company's share price has fallen 96.27% since its 2021 IPO, dropping its market cap from roughly $950 million to about $46.6 million. Management argues the share price doesn't reflect the company's true value and that going private will save approximately $1.6 million annually while allowing the team to focus on long-term health rather than public market obligations.
