A map story about the Tabula Peutingeriana, the only remaining map from the Roman Empire that shows the routes of the state-administered road network. It was used for government and military communication and official travel. The Tabula Peutingeriana is a visualization of a graph rather than a cartographic map. It names 555 cities and 3500 other waystations.
