DoorDash is launching 'Ask DoorDash,' an AI chatbot that lets users order food and groceries using natural language prompts and photos. Users can describe what they want, share recipe links or cookbook photos to auto-build grocery carts, reorder past items, or find restaurant reservations. The chatbot surfaces personalized restaurant recommendations with explanatory blurbs and can refine results based on dietary preferences, budget, and group size. It's rolling out on iOS in select U.S. regions, joining similar AI shopping assistants from Uber Eats and Instacart.
