Temporal is announcing a significant investment in AI by bringing on the founding teams from Chkk and Adviser Labs. Awais Nemat (Chkk founder) will lead engineering, joined by Ali Khayam, David Hyde, and the Adviser Labs team. The new hires bring AWS-scale distributed systems experience, Stanford AI Lab research, and prior hands-on experience building on Temporal. The organization will focus on winning agentic AI use cases, AI-powered developer tooling, Temporal Nexus as an agent communication fabric, and partnerships with OpenAI, Google ADK, Vercel, and Braintrust.
