The company now operates 150+ fully electric robots on live construction sites, coordinated by its Atrium software platform. Rather than selling hardware, Monumental operates as a subcontractor charging for finished wall — an outcome-based model that keeps operational risk in-house. The robots have already built walls for 100+ homes, a school, a hotel, and other structures in the Netherlands and the UK. The funding targets a severe UK bricklayer shortage, where only ~1,990 apprenticeships completed in 2024 against an estimated need for 20,000–25,000 more workers.
