Dynatrace has announced an agreement to acquire Bindplane, an OpenTelemetry-based telemetry pipeline that acts as a control plane for observability data. Bindplane enables teams to collect, process, filter, and route logs, metrics, and traces before ingestion into downstream platforms. The acquisition aims to extend Dynatrace's reach upstream into the telemetry lifecycle, helping organizations reduce ingest costs, standardize signals across environments, and improve data quality for AI-powered observability. Bindplane will remain a standalone product while Dynatrace accelerates its roadmap and deepens platform integration.
