React Native 0.86 is now available, featuring comprehensive edge-to-edge support fixes for Android 15+, including correct coordinates from measureInWindow, KeyboardAvoidingView compatibility, and StatusBar improvements. React Native DevTools gains light/dark mode emulation via the Command Palette. The release has no user-facing breaking changes, making upgrades from 0.85 seamless. Additional changes include new JSI APIs (TypedArray support, Error creation factories, Array.push), Android networking fixes (OOM handling, WebSocket Cookie header preservation), rendering fixes (animated mounting sync, non-invertible transform touch handling, Yoga layout regressions), and the React Native repository has moved to the react GitHub organization under the React Foundation. Over 596 commits from 97 contributors are included.
