Elixir v1.20.0-rc.6 has been released as the final release candidate before v1.20 stable. The key highlight is type inference across applications. Community members are asked to benchmark compilation times using `mix compile --profile time --force` before and after upgrading, and to test new `elixirc_options` such as `infer_signatures` and `module_definition: :interpreted`. Benchmark data from two sample applications comparing Elixir 1.19.5, rc.5, and rc.6 compilation times are shared in the thread.
