Prisma launched Early Access support for static egress IPs in the Prisma Data Platform. Previously, the platform used dynamic IPs, forcing users to expose their databases to the public internet. With static egress IPs enabled, the platform connects to databases exclusively from a fixed set of IP addresses, which can be added to database firewall allowlists. This works across all Data Platform features including the data browser, query console, and data proxy. Note: this post is now outdated as the Data Proxy has been discontinued and Prisma Accelerate is the recommended alternative.
