Waveshare has released the ESP32-C5-Touch-LCD-2.8, a devkit pairing the ESP32-C5 SoC with a 2.8-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen (320×480, ST7789 controller). It features dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Zigbee/Thread support, 32MB flash, 8MB PSRAM, onboard microphone, speaker connector, ES8311 audio codec, SHTC3 temperature/humidity sensor, QMI8658 6-axis IMU, microSD slot, USB-C, RTC, and LiPo battery support with charging. Expansion headers provide UART, I2C, and GPIO access. Waveshare sells it for $25.99–$37.99 depending on retailer and whether a battery is included. A cheaper alternative, the NM-CYD-C5, offers similar specs with resistive touch and no audio/sensor support for around $21.53.
