# ESP32 Music Sequencer Is Clearly Nailing The Y2K Aesthetic

**[Hackaday](https://daily.dev/sources/hackaday)** · 3 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

A maker built a clear, Y2K-styled music sequencer around an ESP32-S3 module with a built-in display, rotary encoder, and a stylophone-like row of brass rods for note input. The transparent PETG case, printed hot and slow with careful layer alignment plus a clear enamel coating, evokes early-2000s translucent electronics, complete with a AAA-battery-lookalike lithium cell visible through the case. The whole device is mounted on a repurposed measuring-tape slap bracelet for a nostalgic wearable format.
