London AI lab Inherent has emerged from stealth with a $50M seed round co-led by Index Ventures and Radical Ventures, with Nvidia Ventures also participating. Founded by ex-DeepMind, Microsoft, and Reka AI researchers, the company is building a platform called Faraday that pairs human researchers with self-improving AI agents to identify which scientific questions are worth pursuing — framing this as 'AI-native science.' The company is structured as a public benefit corporation, and ex-UK AI tsar Matt Clifford serves as an adviser. The raise is among Europe's largest AI stealth-to-launch rounds in 2026.
