Expanding Private Cloud Compute

Apple is expanding Private Cloud Compute (PCC) beyond its own data centers by partnering with Google and NVIDIA to run Apple Intelligence workloads on Google Cloud Platform using NVIDIA GPUs and Intel TDX CPUs. The expansion maintains Apple's core PCC privacy requirements — stateless computation, enforceable guarantees, no privileged runtime access, non-targetability, and verifiable transparency — while introducing new hardware roots of trust including NVIDIA Confidential Computing and Google's Titan chip. Apple retains full software control; devices only trust cryptographically Apple-approved PCC software. A cryptographically verifiable hardware ledger mitigates supply chain risks, and the same architectural security patterns from PCC on Apple silicon are replicated on Google Cloud. All binaries will be published for public inspection, and security researchers will retain access to live PCC nodes via the Apple Security Bounty Program.
