Figma Make is expanding with new capabilities that let designers and developers work directly in their production codebase from within Figma. Key features include visual editing of local codebases (select elements, adjust properties, and have an AI agent update the underlying code), annotation-based prompting for interactions and animations, Git workflow support (branching, committing, PR creation), and collaboration tools that let teammates share branches and sync changes between the Figma canvas and the codebase. The goal is to eliminate the design-vs-code divide by letting teams move fluidly between the design canvas and production code. The beta launches May 28, 2026, is free during beta, and is currently limited to Mac desktop users.
