Mozilla has promoted Firefox 149 to beta, with the headline feature being split-view mode now enabled by default. This feature has been available in Firefox Nightly for the past month and is now part of the Beta 1 milestone. The release also includes improved HTTP/3 upload performance on unstable network connections and a new Reporting API. The official Firefox 149.0 release is expected next month.
