Firefox’s Shake to Summarize expands to Android and new languages on iOS

Firefox's Shake to Summarize feature, which generates instant AI-powered summaries of web pages by shaking your phone, is now available on Android in English after launching on iOS last September. The feature also supports German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Japanese on iOS. On iPhone 15 Pro or later running iOS 26+, summaries are generated on-device via Apple Intelligence; on all other devices, text is sent to Mozilla's cloud using the Mistral-Small model. Pages under 5,000 words are supported, and the feature can also be triggered via the three-dot menu.
