Previously, CHERIoT work was limited to software simulators and FPGA implementations. The ICENI chip is a complete CHERIoT system running the CHERIoT Ibex core at up to 250 MHz, featuring spatial memory safety, use-after-free protection, fine-grained compartmentalization, and deterministic interrupt handling. It is designed for production use in embedded RTOS environments.
