NVIDIA has introduced Halos OS, a safety-certified software platform for Level 4 robotaxi deployments built on NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion. The platform addresses four core safety challenges: a certified OS foundation (Halos Core, ISO 26262 ASIL D compliant with CUDA and TensorRT support), standardized hardware/software interfaces (Halos SDK with sensor abstraction and deterministic scheduling), AI safety guardrails (Halos Applications with rule-based safety functions and the Alpamayo open model family), and pre-deployment validation at scale via the Halos Safety Evaluation Framework. New robotaxi partnerships announced at GTC Taipei include Uber/Autobrains in Munich, Foxconn in Taiwan, VinFast in Southeast Asia, and HUMAIN in Saudi Arabia.
