Read post

For years I forced myself to finish every book I started. Even the ones I'd stopped enjoying, stopped learning anything from. Finishing felt like the whole point. Then I noticed how Naval reads: ten books going at once, skim the intro, read the chapters that actually land, skip the rest when nothing's there. I tried it. Turns out maybe half of most books is fluff, or a long runway before the real idea shows up. I'm getting more out of reading now that I let myself quit a book mid-way.
